Bringing Mindfulness to Living

Laura Erdman-Luntz, MA, E-RYT(500)

The Facts:
Laura has been teaching yoga since 1992 and has over 8000 hours of teaching experience.  She has her masters in Exercise Physiology from George Washington University and teaches from her knowledge of both yoga and western physiology.  She created and taught a Yoga Alliance-registered teacher training program at both the 200- and 500-hour level and graduated over 75 teachers over the past 7 years.

The Fun Stuff:
I love to teach and inspire others to want to discover more about who they are and how to live from the light inside of them.  My focus for the past 20 years has been both yoga and life coaching.  I view them as very similar.  In yoga I go through people’s bodies to get to their hearts and in coaching I go through their minds.

My yoga training began in 1988 when I took my first yoga class – it was love at first sight although it took me a few years to find my place in the yoga world.  I met my teacher, JJ Gormley in 1992 and began teaching soon after.  I have my registration through Yoga Alliance at the 500-hour level and have amassed over 8,000 glorious hours of teaching.  I have taught both beginning level teacher trainings (graduating over 60 teachers) and advanced level (graduating 9 teachers) in Yoga Alliance registered programs.  I continue to learn more about yoga through trainings with a few of my favorite teachers: Judith Hanson Lasater, Jo Zukovitch, Ramanand Patel, among others.

My life coaching experience began…well…when I was born. I have been doing it my whole life!  Professionally it began in 1996 and I have coached for over 2500 hours in the ensuing years.  I graduated from CoachU’s coaching program.

My hobbies are cooking, knitting, writing, reading inspirational works, homeschooling my children, keeping a nature journal, photography, and hiking.

My husband, Ron, and I have two gorgeous children, Sierra (6 years) and Zack (4 years).  You can see photos of us on our flickr site
